Job Description

We are hiring a Brand Manager who will support our marketing team with the goal of improving our clients brand equity & maximizing revenue from organic & earned marketing efforts.

The ideal Brand Manager is the brand guardian for multiple brands under The Troops portfolio of D2C brands. This role requires an ability to be resourceful, think out of the box from traditional ways of marketing, and a passion for problem solving. Brand strategy, product research, competitive analysis, campaign management, community building, customer acquisition all sit under the Brand Manager’s broad umbrella of responsibilities. The ideal candidate for this role should have strong strategic thinking skills, creative marketing skills, excellent stakeholder and project management skills.

You will work closely with the marketing team, co-founders and clients to plan, manage and optimize marketing campaigns.

You should be up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and marketing trends. You should have excellent communication & creative skills and be able to express our company’s views creatively.

Ultimately, your goal is to gradually achieve higher organic growth on a brand level that will drive sustainable revenue for our clients.

Your Responsibilities

  • Plan / execute multiple brand launches and manage cross functional team to identify product market fit for brands
  • Full ownership of a brand and serve as the primary point of contact (project manager) and escalation for integration activities between all departments (marketing, creatives & operations stakeholders), and initiate, collect and execute quarterly brand initiatives and strategies.
  • Supporting clients & co-founders in developing strategies to increase sales, reduce costs and drive conversion rate of acquired products including: price optimisation, PPC, packaging/inserts, coupons and deals, customer communications, creative, changing package dimensions, subscribe and save, removing unprofitable products and more.
  • Proactively catch issues before they are problems and understand everything about the ecosystem in which your products are selling (e.g., competitor landscape, industry landscape etc).
  • Coordinate with our customer service team to ensure we are providing a world class customer experience for your product portfolio.
  • Clarify and drive project commitments as well as establish and maintain clear chains of accountability across the relevant internal teams involved in all the campaigns/projects of each individual brand under The Troops portfolio
  • Day-to-day tasks include setting up & monitoring the campaign calendar, creating and improving branding guidelines, coordinating kick off & follow up meetings and analyzing past performance of campaigns.

Your Profile

Must-haves:

  • Self Starter, Self Motivated Work Ethic
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in managing eCommerce brands, and in branding and/or marketing of brands.
  • Abstractly creative; including excellent copywriting skills
  • Ability to influence others by maintaining open channels of communication, fostering teamwork, and building relationships with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to understand complex issues from various sources, while finding simple solutions
  • Effective planning and organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize, negotiate, and problem solve
  • Ability to execute under accelerated timeframes and quickly adapt to changes in priorities
  • Comfortable in working in a complex, ambiguous, ever-changing environment
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills, with the ability to convey ideas clearly
