Job Description
To support our plans for expansion in 2021 and beyond we are searching for a Key Account Manager to focus on growing and maintaining our clients sales on various marketplaces such as Shopee and Lazada.
We are looking for a highly motivated change agent who can collaborate with the Co-Founders to build and maintain client relationships, manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. The ideal candidate is a creative problem-solver that will turn any challenge into an opportunity and is comfortable moving several pieces at once. The individual should also be adaptable to new technology and can think holistically to update our business workflows for internal teams as we scale the business, especially in terms of Sales & Marketing Optimization and Customer Service. You should also be analytical enough to validate results of your tests and act on them. Previous experience in a marketplace such as Lazada or Shopee is also a big benefit. The role has endless opportunities for growth as we are an early stage start-up, and believe in rewarding our team based on performance.
Your Responsibilities
This person will drive revenues for one of our biggest marketplace channels by:
- Communicating The Troops priorities and goals for the channel, internally and externally, and executing those goals successfully
- Collaborating closely with the Co-Founders to create and maintain positive customer experiences for our clients.
- Creating, revising, improving, and effecting current and new workflows that comply with the channel’s business process rules and streamline the transaction cycle without compromising the quality of customer experience
- Working directly with the clients to expand their brand presence, maintain functionality, and increase strategic opportunity
- Owning the customer experience for customers converting through the channel
- Implementing SKU expansion campaigns
- Producing weekly and monthly reports on company financial performance and key performance indicators
- Identifying key trends, issues and root causes and make recommendations for improvements
- Preparing and delivering presentations to different audiences, and performing ad-hoc analysis as needed
Your Profile
Must-haves:
- Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in a business-related field
- 2+ years of work experience required in account management or business development in an e-commerce environment, preferably with Shopee, Lazada or an e-commerce enabler
- 1 year of experience in managing vendor relationships required
- 1 year of experience in managing cross-functional projects required
- 1 year of experience in managing business processes required
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills
- Strong business acumen
- Strong spreadsheet modeling (Excel pivot tables and vlookup) and PowerPoint presentation creation skills
- Experience buying and/or selling on various channels as an individual or for a company is strongly preferred
- Basic understanding of margin setting for promotions
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience using digital & web analytics and project management software is a plus
